Visual TutorialsIn the past few years, a new publishing format for computer tutorials has become increasingly popular. This format, which we call the "Visual Tutorial" format, consists of a well chosen series of screen snapshots, along with a short text description for each snapshot. Visual Tutorials have most of the advantages of videos and interactive tutorials, but are often more convenient and less expensive. In one aspect, Screenbook Maker is a program for creating, printing and publishing your own visual tutorials. In the future Screenbooks.net will have a great number of visual tutorials accessible from the web, but in the meantime, for a Visual Tutorial in book form, here is a list of every current visual tutorial on the market that we know of.
These are probably the best of the genre. The "Simplified" series are the easiest, but both the Teach Yourself and Simplified series are full color and aimed at beginners. The Mastering series are much larger and more comprensive, with black-and-white screenshots and information useful even to advanced users. Teach
